Garage Allocations
We have a large stock of garages within the county that are available for both tenants and the general public. Please note that in the first instance, vacant garages will always be offered to an existing tenant.
Garages for rent
If you are interested in renting a garage from us, or require further information, please contact the relevant Area Office to discuss your needs.
Garages for sale
Because of the high demand for garages it is unlikely that garages will be available to buy.
We can only sell garages if there is:
- evidence of no demand for the garage
- evidence that it is uneconomical to maintain
- evidence of excessive vandalism/problems
- evidence that the plot won’t be part of a possible future Housing development
If all of the above is true for a garage that you would like to buy, you should contact an Area Office who will then make the final decision. If it is possible to sell the garage the area officer will then contact the Right to Buy Officer to arrange for the garage to be valued.
