Good governance is about making sure that the aims and objectives of Cartrefi Conwy are delivered and that the business is conducted in a responsible way. On this page you will find out who is responsible for this.
Right from the start of setting up Cartrefi Conwy we recognised the importance of ensuring that we have well-trained and supported staff with shared values, working closely with those in our communities to deliver excellent services which are well managed and responsibly governed.
The Board of Management of Cartrefi Conwy comprises of tenants, local residents and persons nominated by Conwy County Borough Council. It is the role of the board to provide a clear strategic direction and set policy to ensure we maintain the Association’s values and allow the executive management team to manage the day-to-day operation of the business.
Cartrefi Conwy embraces the principles set out in Community Housing Cymru’s Code of Governance. The board and its committees have a Code of Conduct, terms of reference and clear statements of members' roles and responsibilities.
We consider the role of our board and committee members to be vitally important. The members give freely of their time and expertise to ensure that the highest standards of accountability, honesty and integrity are upheld throughout the Association.
